Project shopping center Barlet : already a year and still decried


TRADE

UCD conducted a survey about the commercial hub whose creation is proposed instead of the Barlet. The latter is always flooded with criticism.

· The Union Trade Douai (UCD) has compiled the results of an opinion survey it conducted among 350 businesses in the city on the proposed establishment of the mall instead of Barlet. Unsurprisingly, this center is no more popular there almost 11 months , when Jacques Vernier and Jean-Jacques Delille, then deputy trade, had unveiled the project in late November.

Bernard Galland, president of UCD, expected this kind of conclusions. Especially since the retail trade, Douai and elsewhere, is undergoing a long difficult period.
