Entryway Locker Plans

Update VAC LFPZ

advocate of Saint-Cyr since I started, I was contacted by email several days ago for a change ... February 10, 2010: map of Saint-Cyr VAC would be redone. Enthused by this idea, so I started tapping the keys on my keyboard to make you a little account. The suspense was well maintained and I discover with you the new card. But already, small return on the previous edition:
The old approach charts (left) and landing (right) to view LFPZ
Consisting of 4 pages (only 3 are shown here): an approach chart, a map of the landing path round the track and a cartridge with a depiction of the airfield and the distances beyond on the general info page aerodrome. The card was missing, however, information for helicopters, which proliferate in that time and were feeling a little left out. In addition, the route of the lap, (perhaps consistent with the output of the previous edition?) Was not really correct, because already see too small and does not correspond at all to what me had been learned. It also notes the absence of specific local conditions, although regrettable, as many: the users were based not just feel "excluded" (but that's up to them to send us their impressions).

Now that we quickly toured the previous edition, discover the new, out today and I am naturally eager to print, as eager to have updated documentation on board. First Impressions:

From the loading on the SIA website, we see already that the helicopters have become crucial: we must now choose a preference between CAV and MAV Aerodromes Heliports. Not knowing anything about helicopters (it is not too late ;-)) we'll take the one that interests us more here: VAC Airfields. It is now up to 6 pages, with a largely informative in all the cards on the activities of the helicopters land. On entry game, there is the approach chart for the abundance of useful information, such as residential areas to avoid (Feucherolles, St-Nom-La-Breteche, or Rennemoulin), the plot's turn runway (loosely) from St-Cyr and Chavenay, who appears much more to avoid the risk of confusion, may also stated in the text, with a notable change for Saint-Cyr: a lap that rises from 100ft to 1,100 ft to go from 1200ft AMSL. The depiction of the airfield goes from the size of a cartridge to a page (card surface movement), useful for non-based aircraft. The map visual landing us a very precise path (and consistent for what I know), again with some information (for the card surface movement like this map visual landing) on the movements of helicopters field. Pages texts, which number 3 (the last for general info aerodrome), provide a wealth of useful information for crews unfamiliar corner, and in particular the emergence of the concept of ARRIVAL WEST & NORTH (although the arrival of the transit through Chavenay LFPX is possible), but unfortunately no clear path on maps of visual approaches for example. (Although for the west exit, SUP AIP 059/09 provides important details and clear, all clear by TRIGGER NOTAM on LFPZ [source: SIA])

New approach charts and visual landing (left) LFPZ

This new edition, even if it does not really change things for the accustomed places, will bring great details on the general environment of Saint-Cyr-l'Ecole LFPZ, making it more attractive and dynamic. On a more personal perspective: I like it, and frankly, the only improvement I will do: it will add the trajectories of input / output map for a visual approach. SIA thank you, she's great! = D

Stay Tuned to discover a spotting session to LFPZ and a flight to Chartres Wednesday (the weather looks promising), during which I can use this new doc in very good company (more!) ...
